Aston Mics to test

On Friday a huge box appeared at the studio from the brilliant people at Aston Microphones who’d sent me their two new mics – the Origin and the Spirit, along with their new reflection filter, Halo, to try out.

They all look amazing and I had a quick go at recording vocals and guitar with them on Saturday at Orchard Studios – they sounded pretty good on first hearing! I’m looking forward to putting the mics through their paces over the coming week or so both in the studio and live… watch this space…
